Hello! Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful - did you gobble till you wobble? We are grateful to our Members who participated in the Chamber of Commerce Expo! Special thanks to the members of the Executive Committee, who took care of things while I was out of town.
November brings Remembrance Day, and our special guest who is a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. Those of us, of a certain age, will remember walking to the cenataph on Nov.11 with our schools. As a Girl Guide, we walked in the parade every year - proudly bearing our Canadian Flag and our Unit colours. When you hear the words this year, "we will remember them", keep in mind the ones who served our country; and the ones who still do.
Hope you have a wonderful meeting, and I will see you in December.

Grateful, Thankful, Blessed! Those are words often heard in October, as we celebrate Thanksgiving. To whom are you grateful? For what are you thankful? How many ways are you blessed?
As we strive to fulfill our obligations to family, work, friends and ourselves, we need to stop and consider those questions.
I'm grateful to my hubby, Dave. He's stuck with me for 35 years, 33 married in October. The man deserves a medal! Lol. I'm thankful for so many things – family first, then friends and finally, work that pays the bills and other work that is fulfilling.
My blessings are many – much love from family and friends, food everyday and shelter.
As always, we support the Sharing Place with food donations and various outreach non-profit groups with our Toonies for Toiletries.
Happy Thanksgiving!
