Located in the Forest Home Industrial Park, in Oro-Medonte Township about one hundred kilometres north of Toronto, Ontario. The plant has been in operation since 1979, and under the present owners since January 1984. Our primary product is the" POLYJOHN" (regd.) polyethylene portable toilet, but we also make and distribute many related products and accessories for outdoor sanitation.
The company employs 10 to 40 people on the average, with seasonal fluctuations, as our product is primarily sold in the warmer months. We make our units using the thermoform method, with a unique formula in the plastic which prolongs the life of the toilet, even after long-term exposure to ultra-violet light. Our product can be found in most parts of the world from the Equator to the Arctic Circle, and stands up well to all extremes of climate.
Our customers are mostly those companies that rent or hire out toilets for outdoor events and activities. They also service and clean the units, and provide paper and chemicals on a weekly basis.
Applications for portable sanitation are too numerous to list, but they include construction, outdoor events of all descriptions, as well as military purposes, agricultural operations and emergency relief.
The unit is easy to assemble, and requires no special tools or skills, therefore can be shipped unassembled very economically. All our parts are interchangeable from one year to the next so that spare parts are readily available. Maintenence costs are very low, and our company is very service-oriented, with a same-day shipping policy on most parts orders. We also provide help for anyone setting up a toilet rental business, with procedures, policies, and advice that come in the form of a manual.
We have the resources and capability to increase our volume, and could produce over 2000 units per month if necessary. We see a great need for portable sanitation in other countries in all stages of development, and have directed our efforts at exporting as well as serving the Canadian market. Our company has been in this industry since the plastic toilet was first developed, has been a leader in the trade and plans to be here for the long term
