President’s Message                                                                                July  2022

Hello Ladies!
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, though it does seem to be moving along too quickly .  We couldn't ask for nicer weather.
I’m so happy to see the summer time emails with ladies showing interest in becoming OBWA members.  By the time we gather again in September there should be quite a few new faces.
Though we are technically on vacation, your executive committee continues to work behind the scenes keeping on top of things. 
We will be having our Annual General Meeting this fall.  It has been a while since we have had one of those.  Stay tuned for details.

OBWA Elections are coming up in Sept. and we are opening up a new position to be filled by an OBWA member.  The new position of Executive Assistant will assist the OBWA in any area where needed. We are requesting anyone putting their name forward to please read over the OBWA  Policy and Procedures before applying for the position. The Policy and Procedures are posted on the OBWA webite.   If you have any questions please contact a member of the Executive for more information. We will be accepting applications during the summer and we will take a vote at our General Meeting in September.

We have the positions of President and Vice President open but due to our Policy and Procedures those positions can only be filled by someone who has sat on the OBWA executive for a period of two years for President and one year for Vice President.  Sharon will be taking the position of Past President and Treasurer and all the other Executive members have agreed to hold the positions they currently have.

Important Information regarding your 2022-2023 OBWA Membership

The OBWA is now changing when our annual membership fee of $100 will be due. All members will have a renewal date of Sept. 1^st. each year for their annual membership.   The majority of our members have not paid their dues during the pandemic. On Sept. 1, 2022 everyone will pay their membership dues which will cover their membership for Sept.1, 2022 until August 31, 2023 in order to be a member in good standing.   Members in good standing have the privilege of posting on social media & have their information about their business and themselves on our website as well as posting on Face Book. Non-members can attend meetings though without the other privileges.
