President’s Message

Hello Ladies!!!

Looking forward to seeing you at our Wednesday November 11, 730pm Zoom Meeting! Come help us pay tribute to our service men and women who have dedicated their lives to keeping us safe and free. Details will be sent to our Facebook page and through email.

I hope everyone is doing well. Even though Halloween looked very different this year, from what I understand it was a successful day/evening for many children and youth. Lots of creativity among families and with community support the youngsters were able to participate in the activities safely and without worry.

As you know, we had so hoped to be able to go ahead with plans for an in person dinner this month and an in person Gala Celebration in December, but concerns for safety over rode our wants and the need to keep all of us, our friends and families safe took precedence. Many thanks to Sheila Haiden, Shelle Hossack, Susan Zaroski, Andrea Sullivan, Ronda Hales, and Leah Cavanaugh for their hours of dedication to this process.

The firmed up date for this year’s Gala Event is Wednesday December 9, with more information coming your way as final plans are made. In spite of Covid, we are determined to still celebrate our brilliant Young Woman and Woman of the Year Nominees. Please keep watching our bulletins and Facebook page for updates. Of course we will not be able to do our popular prize draws this year, but please consider sponsoring this fabulous event. Without you and community sponsors this wouldn’t be possible. Details on how to assist in supporting this event will be posted, so keep an eye out!

Please be sure to mark the date on your calendars---Wednesday December 9th and plan on joining us in our Virtual Gala Celebration. We have many surprises in the works. Help us show these women and young women how much we appreciate them and their endeavors to support their community.

We continue to have positions available on our Executive Committee. Membership Coordinator and Event Coordinator. Please email us your interest and we will connect to review the positions with you. We would love to see some new faces and on this committee.
