MARCH 2020 - OBWA NETWORKING AND DINNER MEETING - COPY
The Orillia Business Women’s Association (OBWA) meets every second Wednesday of the Month (September thru June) at the Best Western PLUS Mariposa INN and Conference Centre at 400 Memorial Ave. Orillia for networking events, fun and delicious food.
OBWA PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
We are now just over two months away from your Woman/Young Woman of the Year Gala. With all the women’s issues in the media these past few months, what better way to show solidarity and strength than through an event like this one. We want to stand strong with all women. So, to make this event as memorable as we can we are looking to you, the members, to give and to help. Right now we especially need nominees. You will find the nomination package on the OBWA website. We all know THAT woman who goes over and above and who is very community minded. We need sponsors, we need services and we need door prizes. This is great advertising and publicity for you as well. Your name will be in the Gala program and you may be mentioned during the event. And please share the facebook posts to all your friends about the event and let them know that we can also use their help. The preparations for the event are coming along very nicely and we are getting so excited. It would also be great if you would attend the gala. It is an empowering and fun evening. There will be more details at the dinner meeting. Please make sure you read the entire bulletin for all the details you need about the dinner meeting. In closing this quote is very appropriate,”Solidarity between women can be a powerful force of change, and can influence future development in ways favourable not only to women but also to men.” Nawal El Saadawi.
Yours in friendship and business,
Shelle Hossack
