OCTOBER 2018 - OBWA NETWORKING AND DINNER MEETING
The Orillia Business Women’s Association (OBWA) meets every second Wednesday of the Month (September thru June) at the Best Western Mariposa INN and Conference Centre at 400 Memorial Ave. Orillia for networking events, fun and delicious food.
OBWA PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Fall has arrived! With the change in season, we are seeing lots of Fall Fairs and events popping up that a lot of members take part in. PLEASE take advantage of what is offered to you as a paid member of the OBWA to garner exposure for your business and to let us know what you are up to. Also, don’t forget to get your photo and your business on our powerpoint that plays during our meetings. It has been great to see more posts and interaction on the group facebook. We have so many interesting members who have very cool businesses. You will never know how or where referrals might come from if you don’t put yourself out there. Take the time to get to know one another during the networking part of the meeting and during dinner.
We have grown again this past month. So, we welcome our newest members. We hope that you enjoy what we have to offer. Remember we are always open to suggestions you might have to add some flavour and fun. Talk to us.
In November we will celebrate our freedom with a small tribute to veterans and our military and our speaker will be from the Heart & Stroke Foundation. And we will finish off 2018 with our annual Christmas Party in December.
There is always something new going on and I think this is what keeps the group current and vibrant. Always remember that this is YOUR group. In closing, here is a quote from Henry David Thoreau, “I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual.”
