OBWA PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
President’s Message
It is time to get back to business! Hello all. I hope you have been enjoying the summer and that you got time to sit back and relax and rejuvenate. It is hard to believe that September is just around the corner. For many that means back to a stricter schedule and back to a whole different mind-set. Many of the members have continued to work over the summer and thank you to those who used Facebook to keep us in the loop as to what you have been doing. As in most years the Executive was kept busy with business and meetings to keep the OBWA group up-to-date and to prepare for the upcoming ten months. We have come up with some great ideas and can’t wait to share these with you. As I always mention, this is your group and so if you have any concerns or ideas please let me or an Executive member know. Our speaker coordinator, Tammy K., has lined up some great speakers, the dinner menus have been prepared by Andrea, Odette has worked hard on the bulletin, Tammy H. has posted regularly and the rest of us have been doing many behind the scenes preparations. We have decided that our group is going to start collecting feminine hygiene products each month and so on the main table you will see a jar “Toonies for Tampons”. You can drop in some money or you can bring products that will be delivered by one of the Executive every month to different locations in Orillia. We are looking to possibly sponsor a sports team and will attempt to have the OBWA more visible within the community and beyond. We are constantly growing in membership which is so exciting! So, on that note I look forward to seeing all of you in September to network and promote your businesses, make some new connections and of course share some laughs.
Yours in friendship and business,
Shelle Hossack
OBWA PRESIDENT
