Description

Lawn Overseeding

Is your lawn looking thin and brown? Turf King Orillia can help you get back to the thick, lush, green lawn you've always wanted and all you need to do is reseed? If you put down a layer of seed over your lawn in the spring or fall, all the thin areas start growing grass, and your lawn starts to look terrific again.

  • May be done Spring and/or Fall but if just once - Fall is best
  • Fall seeds go dormant over winter and come up in spring
  • Adds vigorous new growth
  • Good for filling in thin or bare areas
  • Beneficial to integrate new grasses more resistant to drought, disease and insects
  • Allows grass seed to propagate itself - Old lawn will become stressed causing difficulty competing with weeds and lawn diseases
  • Seed is applied using a professional spreader covering a wide swath at a time
  • Keep new seed moist
  • Customer must keep new seed moist in the spring or summer
  • Encourages thick, healthy lawn
  • We recommend Overseed with Core Aeration for insect damaged lawns

You may wish to do a Core Aeration when you Overseed.  Seeds fall into aeration holes and are almost sure to germinate.  You only need 1 seedling every 6 - 8 inches to germinate. The seedlings will spread and give you a thicker, lush lawn.
