My name is Janet and I started repurposing furniture back in 2015. It started as a hobby, painting in my bedroom lol I quickly ran out of pieces to paint in my home and so started collecting, painting and then selling to my community. Then I started to get a following from just about everywhere! My business name came from mashing up the words "up cycled and antique' Sustainability is my main priority when creating furniture and home decor. I want to offer an alternative to buying new, where people can find beautiful, one of a kind and quality products outside of the big box stores. My goal is to create or carry products that are handcrafted, local and unique, while keeping waste reduction and resource use in mind. Creating beautiful things with the planet in mind can be done! I am a proud Fusion Mineral Paint stockist. Its coverage, durability and environmental practices are in line with my core values and mission statement. I also carry Iron Orchid Designs products to add fun designs and colours to your projects. I strive to carry only quality professional products that I use, know and love. I offer variety of workshops teaching painting techniques and upcyling salvaged items destined for the landfill. Thank you for finding me. I hope you will enjoy my work and my store as much as I do!
