About Us

Photographer, Malinda WattI love what I do! To be able to photograph people is so awesome. The interaction that happens as a photo shoot unfolds is a reminder that these moments when we stop and take a breath to capture a certain time, celebration or milestone in our lives is so important.

I remember my first photo shoot with my little sister. I was 10, playing with my new point and shoot film camera my great Uncle Ron bought for me. I never picked up a camera with that same intention until I found myself trying to figure out my next step in life. I had moved from New Brunswick to Ontario and wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted to do, what I wanted to be. It didn’t take too long before I enrolled in a couple of photography classes at Conestoga College. Capturing images with my first SLR my dad purchased for me at the local pawn shop and learning about exposure, light and slide film. From there I was accepted as a student of Applied Photography at Sheridan College where my camera grew again to a 4×5 camera and I learned the true art of photography.

Whether on location or in studio you can expect a pretty relaxed approach. I’m aware of the insecurities and nerves that might be playing on your mind when you come to see me and I want to put those at rest right away by putting you in control. Something doesn’t feel right we’ll take a break, try something new, baby needs to feed, tot needs a little cuddle time? We have time. I always set aside two hours per session, just in case, so we won’t have to rush, we’ll get it just right in time and the perfect smile, moment, look or pout captured forever.
