*Sharp Image Salon & Spa Update: Aug. 4, 2020: With all of the restrictions and regulations, we have many clients who are unsure of the services we can offer. Just a friendly reminder that we are now able to provide our full range of services, as mandated by Phase 3!! The most common services that clients ask us about are : hair washing, blow-drying, facial waxing, lash extensions/lifting, and pedicures. The answer to all of these is YES, we can do them! (safely, and in a sanitary manner) 🥰🙌 Our only exception right now is makeup. Professionals in our industry are now legally allowed to provide makeup services on clients, however we have made the executive decision to put this service on hold until further notice. We feel that with the current restrictions (i.e. wearing a face covering inside our business), it would be too difficult for our staff to accommodate makeup at the moment. We want our clients to feel comfortable having services done with us, but we also want our staff to feel comfortable providing these services in a safe way. We do apologize, however we are doing absolutely everything we can to protect our community, and we stand by this proudly. Safety is our top priority right now! We hope to see you all soon for your salon & spa services!! Give us a call anytime and we will be happy to book you in! (705) 327-0102 💕 www.SharpImageSalonSpa.ca

*Sharp Image Salon & Spa: Update - PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO READ
As we are coming to the end of our third week back to work, we wanted to give everyone an update on how things have been going for us so far!
As you have probably read on our social media, or experienced in person at the salon, things are a lot different around here now! We have a lot of new rules to follow, all of which are mandated by the health board to keep our province safe as businesses reopen. There are responsibilities on both our part, and yours as a client. For our staff, this means keeping the salon sanitized and clean at all times, wearing face coverings, physically distancing from other staff & clients, etc. For our clients, this means coming alone to your appointment, wearing a mask, waiting outside for your appointment, and only bringing in your phone/keys/payment method. We understand that these rules are new to you, and that you may feel frustrated by them. Again, these rules are not optional for us. These are mandatory, and we are very committed to following each and every one of them.
That being said, our staff have had to face a lot of rude & negative comments every day as we try to enforce these rules. We want to be totally transparent with you guys - this takes a toll on us. In particular, our receptionist Nicole, and our sweet young apprentices who greet clients at the door, have experienced a lot of negativity over the past few weeks. Going forward, we ask that you treat our staff with the kindness and respect they deserve. Please try to understand that we are doing everything in our power to keep our community safe! We will not apologize for enforcing the regulations put in place by the province. We stand by our responsibility to safely operate our business during this pandemic.
We know that other businesses in our industry may have different rules put in place. Some places may allow you to have your purse in the salon, some may be able to take new hair clients, some may not have a COVID fee on their service, etc. We can't speak to how other salons are operating right now, we can only speak to ours. We are not in the business of judging others for how they choose to run their business!
Our staff, as always, are doing everything they can to accommodate their clientele. I'm sure everyone knows our girls are no strangers to working long days. But did you know that they are now working 4 days a week instead of 5? This helps us physically distance while at work - fewer staff in the salon means we can spread out and keep everyone at a safe distance! It also means our team can have 3 days off each week. They are loving their new schedule! It allows them to keep busy while at work, and still have time to relax & recharge at home. It's all about that work/home balance!
We know we thank our clients often - for their loyalty, kindness, patience, and their business. We'd like to extend a special thank you to the clients who have adapted to our new normal with kind words, smiles, and gratitude. Thank you to the clients who have expressed how safe they felt during their visit to our salon. Thank you to those who have chosen to come here specifically because of our current safety regulations. You have no idea how much we need clients like you right now! You make us happy to be back to doing what we love every day. You make us excited to get up and come to work. We know your salon visit isn't the same as it used to be, but we appreciate how you've taken it all in stride. The whole world could use a little kindness right now, and yours means the world to us!
*Sharp Image Salon & Spa valued clients: Just a quick update on the services we can/cannot provide. As mandated by the province, we are still unable to provide any facial services. Please see the list below for details on what is included as a "facial service". Unfortunately, this decision is beyond our control. We are very committed to following ALL regulations from the government and health board. This will not only help us stay open, but more importantly, keep our community safe!! Please know that we will update you the second we are able to book you in for your lashes, brows, etc. Huge thank you to the clients who have been supportive and understanding through all of this craziness!!!
What we CAN do: salon - women's colouring & cutting services, men's cuts, kids cuts (provided they are able to wear a mask) spa - manicures, pedicures, artificial gel nails, body waxing, and ear piercing

Just a quick reminder of Sharp Image Salon & Spa's new client policies, as mandated by the province for safe Phase 2 of the COVID-19 reopening! 1. Clients must wait outside for their appointment. We are not able to have a waiting area at this time. Please do not enter the building without a staff member's assistance! You may call from your car when you arrive, or come to the front door and wait outside. We will see you from the the front desk and come outside to greet you and give you a mandatory wellness questionnaire to fill out. Your stylist/esthetician will then come outside to escort you in to your appointment when they are ready to take you. If you feel more comfortable waiting inside your car, just let us know which vehicle is yours so we can find you! 2. Clients must only bring in their phone, keys, and method of payment. Purses, food, beverages, etc MUST be kept in your vehicle. 3. Clients (and staff) must wear a face covering upon entering the building. Please do not come inside without a mask on! If you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you. This policy includes children as well - if your little one is too young to be able to keep a mask on, we recommend waiting to get their hair cut until they can do so, or until provincial restrictions change. 4. Clients must come alone to their appointment. We will work with you to provide a solution to bringing in children who are old enough to wear a mask, but too young to come in alone.
These are the 4 most important policies that we wanted to share with you! The rest of the responsibility lies with us (e.g. keeping our salon & spa clean & sanitized at all times, including between clients). We are taking this responsibility very seriously. Please see our previous posts for a complete list of our current policies. We understand that these restrictions can seem frustrating to comply with for some people. We just wanted to reiterate that these are mandated policies that we need to implement to stay open for business. We feel very confident that these policies will help keep our staff, clients, and community safe. Thank you to all of our clients who have happily complied with these regulations so far!!
