Reptile Camp

2018 will be our second summer of our Reptile Camp at Scales Nature Park! For ages 7-12

Observe and hold some amazing reptiles! Spend time playing in the forest and learn the importance of respecting and conserving nature. Get dirty catching bugs and minnows, then feed them to your favourite reptiles.

Drop off is 8:30-9am, pick up is 4-4:30pm.
Early and late extended hours are available.

This year we are beginning a Leaders In Training (L.I.T) program for ages 13-17.

This program will offer experience and guidance in the world of summer camp, leadership, recreational programming, and animal care! Children will have opportunities to design and initiate a program, whether it’s a craft, game or an activity into the summer camp, as well as have practice receiving training and keeping up with responsibilities. Our L.I.T.’s will gain knowledge of first aid treatments, organizing and planning activities, safety, disciplinary steps, equipment use, record keeping, and more. It is our goal that at the end of the L.I.T. course our students should have the skills, experience, attitude and confidence to excel in the future as a staff member.
