On-Site Programs

“Meet the Creature” is a great opportunity to learn more about our animals, and experience them in a hands-on way! Unlike most facilities, this activity happens continuously throughout the day here at Scales Nature Park!

We do offer scheduled special programs such as guided walks, presentations, and in-depth workshops on various topics.  These take place in the classroom, or at another posted location if the classroom is occupied by a group booking.  Please see our Events page for information on these special programs.

Guest Speakers

Our staff may know a lot, but they can’t know it all, so whenever we get a chance we will offer presentations by guest speakers, including people involved in wildlife research and conservation projects.  

Birthday, School, and Camp Packages

For these groups, we have packages tailored to the specific needs of each.  

Group Programs

We offer a wide array of programs for other groups that visit Scales Nature Park.  These programs are generally one hour long and are suitable for groups from 10-30 people.  Larger groups may be accommodated by dividing into smaller sub-groups.  A list of possible programs is below.  Programs may be combined to create a full day of activities if desired.  If you would like a specific program focus that is not on our list, just let us know and our staff would be happy to create a custom program for your group!
