Preparation and Painting Steps
- The floor surface around the door is protected with drop cloths.
- The door handle and lock are removed.
- The door is sanded to remove any flaking paint, smooth out any scratches or dents if possible.
- The door is primed (if necessary).
- The door is painted with a minimum of two coats of high quality paint from either Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams.
- The handle and lock are reinstalled.
