Obviously sapphires look good in everything… every style, every setting… so that was never the question.
As a fairly available stone, meaning it is mined in numerous geographical locations, and has even been somewhat perfected in the lab, and comes in varying qualities (making it available to many price points) we think that with a 9 on the Mohrs scale (yes! A 9 for hardness, more closely resembling a diamond as over any other gemstone) sapphires are VERY WELL SUITED to be an everyday wear!
This wearability makes sapphires most popular set in rings, most often that anniversary, eternity, wedding band style. Or very well suited to a fashion ring - much like we have here.
Does pricing play into your decision? The lovely large ring style is $1699, the adorable dainty cross ring is $799.
DID YOU KNOW? Sapphires also come in different colours? I mean obviously why would you want anything other than the deep, beautiful, royal blue … however, they do come in this spectacular pink colour! Also amazing is the twisted, wave pattern; creating a beautiful infinity setting. A perfect commitment, promise, or anniversary ring. Sometimes it's just love at first sight.
Besides being the birthstone for September; the deep, dark, saturated royal blue stone represents the traditional 45th anniversary.
Therefore, we LOVE using the Sapphire as an anniversary ring - as shown here. Because we are pretty sure that if you make it to 45 years… you deserve a beauty like this.
What about you? Would you use a gemstone and diamond ring as your wedding band or anniversary ring?
