Emily Goldsmith has recently joined our practice as a new graduate from the Georgian College Veterinary Technician program. She is in the process of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician and will be writing her exam soon!

Emily grew up in Coldwater and has always had a love of animals. This passion likely began at a young age when she started working with her dad, a local falconer. The Goldsmiths use Harris hawks to help local businesses chase away nuisance wildlife.

Emily moved to Toronto after high school to study Film and Television Production and later worked in production management and effects. After a few years, Emily realised this was not her forever job and moved back home.

After watching her senior pets enter their golden years and adopting a cat from the SPCA, she decided a career helping pets age gracefully and maintain a healthy lifestyle would be perfect. She enjoys working with shelter animals and those who have had a rough start to their lives. Emily particularly enjoys hearing clients’ stories about the wild antics of their furry friends. Outside of work Emily fusses over her own pets – her cat Nala, and Ripley the raincoat-wearing Rottweiler. Emily also enjoys working with birds of prey, attending sci-fi conventions and spending time with friends.
