Growing up Justine was always surrounded by family pets. Her favourite childhood past time was falling asleep on her aunt’s dog when they came over for a visit. During high school Justine started researching careers in the veterinary field as this is where she knew she wanted to be. One year after graduating high school, Justine met a veterinary technician and fell in love with everything she had to say about being a technician. She attended Algonquin College in Ottawa, graduated from their Veterinary Technician Program in 2015, and then moved back home to Orillia where she found Orillia Pet Hospital.

After graduating, Justine gained her first experiences as a technician completing her field placement at Orillia Pet Hospital. She then worked in Barrie where she spent a year and a half gaining experience, but she knew she wanted to be closer to home, which led her back to Orillia Pet Hospital in February 2017. Justine enjoys appointments and educating clients on the wellbeing of their pets. She also has experience in surgery, anesthesia, pharmacy, lab, nutrition, x-ray, and dentistry. She is exceptionally interested in the human-animal bond and loves being a key part in it.

Justine enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, and spending time at her boyfriend’s beef farm. Above all she loves to spend time and share her home with her beloved fluff ball Buster, an 11 year old cock-a-poo. He loves to cuddle, play with his overabundance of toys, and eat as many treats as he can. His favourite past time is playing with his squeaky toy throughout a good movie!
