OUR MARKET NICHE: We are a precision injection molding and engineering company that produces plastic parts and assemblies of the very highest quality and complexity. We make over 75 million parts every year for some of the most demanding companies in the world and we currently boast a PPM of less than one! In order to produce products of uncompromising quality and endurance we invest in the very best manufacturing systems, QA processes, measuring equipment and production machines available in the world today.

OUR PRICES: You will find our prices very competitive at the upper end of the injection molding marketplace but less so if quality is not your Number One consideration. 

 MPC was established in 1980 to satisfy the requirement for a responsive prototype molding shop specializing in high quality plastic parts such as gears and complex assemblies. Today, the company is ISO/TS 16949:2009 certified, full-service engineering, product development, and precision injection molding facility with its own in-house tooling operation. We produce approximately 75 million high precision plastic parts and assemblies per annum (currently with a PPM of less than one and 100% on-time delivery!) for customers from a broad range of industries including automotive, medical, dental, lighting, water filtration systems, and others.

MPC is a full-service engineering, product development and precision injection molding facility with its own in-house tooling operation.
The company has developed an enviable growth record of between 25% – 30% per year. All due to its growing reputation for providing our customers with a reliable and ‘easy to deal with’ North American source for complex product design consultation, finite element analysis, CAD and advanced tool design. Most importantly, 3-D design, 3-D Printing, FEA, mold flow analysis, CNC, EDM and precision grinding elements are integrated into our state of the art manufacturing system – which invariably allows us to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to customers who require components with extremely challenging structural, durability and low tolerance specifications.

Program Management
Our program management and project engineering team are experts in mold design, tooling, automation, and process. They are capable of developing the entire production system to manufacture products to your exact specifications.  All production and product requirements are carefully considered during the tooling/automation design stage to ensure maximum production efficiency and product reliability. A Program Manager is assigned to your project to see it through from end-to-end, i.e. concept to launch and then ongoing production.

We use our comprehensive APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) system to develop, manage and monitor your program to ensure all your needs are met including timing, cost, engineering, production system and parts.

CMM Capabilities
MPC has invested in state of the art Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) that gives us the capability of measuring to less than a micron (< 0.001mm) giving us the tools we need to develop products of the most utmost precision and functionality.  CMM is integrated into our development process from benchmarking, reverse engineering, prototype and production tooling verification, first off molded components to in-process measurements.

Our CMM capabilities include “Gear Pack” software giving us the capability of obtaining analytical data on all types of gears.

CMM is integrated into our injection molding manufacturing for verification of critical dimensions in-process to ensure parts meet your specifications.

Our Coordinate Measurement Machine represents the most exact measurement technology available today.

Double Flank Gear Tester Capabilities

Others say they can make gears but can they measure them in development and in-process?Although we have analytical gear measurement capability on the CMM, MPC has also invested in double flank gear testers used to test and measure your gears as it is used in your assembly to ensure they will perform as designed.  Double flank gear measurements are used not only for development but also for in-process inspection; measuring parts every 4 to 24 hours during the production runs to ensure all production meets specification all the time.
 



Tooling and Precision Machining
Our tool shop is fully equipped with the latest technologies in the industry includinghigh speed CNC machine centers (42,000 rpm), wire and sink CNC EDM and precision grinding.  All processes are integrated with CMM validation throughout the tool build to ensure first time success. MPC has the ability to build complex multi cavity molds including sophisticated tool action, rotary cores, hot runner systems, valve gates and 3 plate tools.

We have developed gear tooling technology to make all types of precision gears including worm, helical, spur, sector and internal gears.

MPC uses an integrated prototype tooling system to develop your product and/or process to meet your production requirements first time.

Injection Molding
MPC currently has over 20 plastic molding machines ranging from 25 to 400 tons.  Our capabilities include insert molding, working within tight tolerances (0.0025mm), gear technology and internal/external threads for both simple and complex parts.

Robotics are integrated on all of our production machines – which significantly improves our efficiency from the intake of raw materials to the delivery of your plastics parts.

We operate three shifts (two are lights out). This capability improves our overall efficiency by reducing downtime and allowing optimum utilization of production resources and capital.  MPC has a reputation for using cutting edge technologies and consistently improving its processes in the areas of quality, delivery, efficiency, cost control, on-time delivery and customer service.
