At K Knight Contracting, we believe in our job-tested, well proven Design-Build concept. This widely accepted, economical process allows us to design and construct a broad range of facilities both expediently and affordably.

We are driven by a philosophy of collaboration and cooperation. We believe that the best results come from builders, subcontractors, manufacturers, architects, and engineers working closely together. The Design-Build process encourages and maximizes the potential results of this mode of collaboration, while simultaneously clearly establishing and assigning appropriate responsibility; this ensures that your project is carried out as specified. The team dynamic that our methods foster ensures that working drawings, mobilization, construction, commissioning, and demobilization are completed more quickly. At the end of the day, this means a shorter, smoother delivery period than that which can be achieved by using “traditional” methods.

As our team is responsible for project design, the traditional need for sizable construction contingencies to cover shortfalls in the construction documents is lessened.

Under the Design-Build model, a contractor's scope of work encompasses both the design and construction of a project. K Knight Contracting retains consultants to perform design work when required for such projects, allowing us to assemble the most appropriately experienced, highly skilled teams possible when necessary to complete a particular type of work.

Over the past 50 years,  the K Knight Contracting team have successfully completed a diverse portfolio of Design-Build projects, including retail, restaurant, commercial, warehouse, residential, industrial, clubs, recreational, institutional... just to name a few.
