I own several apartments and probably need more appliance repairs than most people. Kitchen's have been extremely good and their charges are more than fair. Highly recommend their service.

Worst customer service, cant help me fix a compressor for a simple fridge lol
They said that without offering even to come to see it or even for me to bring it there.
plus 95$ per hour to come and once they arrive you only get 10 minyes then they start charging you another 90$ I live 13 min away and she said it doesnt matter

LEARN HOW TO FIX COMPRESSORS BEFORE YOU START RIPPING PEOPLE OFF

Hi There,
Thank you for your feedback.
As we tried to explain on the phone, we do require a model number in order to get the correct parts for your fridge. Every brand has hundreds of different models, and they all have their own unique set of parts. To ensure you get the correct thing, the model (located inside the fridge) is required.
When you called in you were looking for specific parts, not asking for service. We never try to push service on anyone that is looking to order parts and repair themselves, however we are happy to book service if that is what the customer is looking for.
When you did state that you wanted service, you said you were located in Coldwater. Our service fee to Coldwater is $90, this is the cost to have the technician come to your home, and does (as you stated) include the first ten minutes that the technician is there. After that we charge parts and labour, with labour being $90/hour broken down into ten minute increments. That means if the technician spends 20 minutes at your location, your bill would be $105+tax. We would have been happy to explain this to you had you not cursed out our office staff.
All the best with getting your fridge repaired.

My washing machine was not completely releasing all the water during final rinse. I called and Karen was very informative on all the costs involved with the service call and work should it need to be done. When the gentleman showed up he was interactive with all the infomation that I would need to know. I would recommend this company and their professional, friendly staff.

If could give a zero...I would! This company charged me in excess of $90 for a less than 5 minute visit for QUOTE!!! When questioned about it - the owner replied, well if we didn't charge for quotes than we wouldn't be in business long! NEVER would recommend this company.
The Business Owner Replied:

Hi Kim,

We are very sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with our service. You were only billed the service & diagnostic fee, which in your area is $80+tax. This works out to $90.40. This service & diagnostic fee (or service call fee) is charged to every customer, and is the cost of having the technician come out to your home. From there the technicians quote the repair (as they did with your dishwasher) and it is up to you whether or not to proceed. Charging a service fee is industry standard for appliance repair, and has been our business practice for over 40 years. We do apologize if you did not realise that you would be charged this, but you can always ask what the service call fee is when you are booking an in-home visit.

Thank you for your review.
Sincerely,
Kitchen’s Appliance Service

A recent, first visit to Kitchen's was disappointing. Seeking information about the inoperative lights on my microwave, I was told that the bulbs were 'discontinued'. This was despite my having just purchased 2 new, identical replacement bulbs. Then I was told that the fuse for those lights was part of a circuit board and could not be repaired. There was no attempt to address the problem nor offer a solution. With the aid of a U-Tube video, I fixed the lights myself. Retailers cannot complain about the internet if they don't offer an alternative.

The fridge portion of my 20 plus yr fridge/freezer quit over a weekend. I called Kitchens. They booked me in for the next day, and I didn't have to be home. They let themselves in, fixed the problem and left an invoice on the counter. It was less than half of what I would expected to pay for this kind of service. You would never have known anyone was in the house. Excellent service from the initial phone call. Highly recommended.
