Happy at Home was there for my mom when we needed them most. Excellent 24/7 care allowed us to keep mom at home longer than we ever would have been able to. The staff was amazing. From the in home caregivers, to the office staff, we could not have managed without you. Thank you for everything!

Happy at Home was amazing in their daily care and dedication with my mom, in the months before she was moved to a care home in winter 2020. They often went above and beyond the norm for personal care, and showed her real affection, that meant so much to her. They were super patient with her dementia and sought to keep her dignity, consulting with us (in Pennsylvania) to meet her needs and desires. They were willing to help with some pet care (rare among caregivers!), did hospital runs when necessary, and were there to meet extra needs that came up - great problem solvers. Very professional, knowledgeable, and especially compassionate. If there were a 10 star rating, I'd choose that!

Caring for a loved one at the best of times can be difficult.
My family and I are so grateful to Sheona and her entire team from the office staff, PSW's, RPN's, RN's, her husband (thank you for moving the bed when we couldn't be there) and to all of there families.
Risking their own health to care for another families loved one during a pandemic. My aunt was able to peacefully pass away at home due to this amazing team of caregivers during the covid-19 pandemic. Depending on the stage of the pandemic we were able to have social distancing visits with masks on etc When there was a lockdown and we were not able to be with her, we were always provided regular updates. If you are looking for someone to care for your loved one Happy at Home is the right choice. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and stay safe.

We can't thank Sheona and Happy At Home enough for their swift assistance during a sudden crisis regarding the health and safety of a dear friend. When I phoned and explained our situation (after hours on a Saturday evening at dinner time) Sheona followed up immediately and put our minds at ease. She came over right away and showed compassion and concern for our elderly neighbour and helped us get the care she needed right away. Thank you Happy At Home.

We used Happy at Home services for our elderly mother in Orillia who had a fall. Services were very prompt and thorough. Ease of mind for our family knowing the caregiver was caring and able to be our eyes and ears. Highly recommend this service. Thanks to all.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your team for all your care and endless patience over these past couple of years. I know my mother could be a challenge but she loved having the Happy at Home people come in so she could have her princess moments and connections with the outside world. She would speak about your caregivers as if she had known them for years! Your caregivers added interest to her final years as well as helping her to maintain her dignity. I truely believe she lived as long as she did due to your diligence, support and care. I was especially touched by Happy at Home's visit to the hospital when my mother passed away as well as people taking time out of their day to attend her funeral. That meant so much to my father and to me.

When my elderly father in law required some daily help with tasks, Happy at Home was thorough, caring and friendly. All members of the team were professional and exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend their services.

I live in Peterborough and have depended on Happy at Home for both parents who are in Barrie (95 and 98 yrs of age). Happy at home helped my father stay in his own house until he passed. They supplied excellant home support and company for my Father for over 6 years. They were very flexable in providing caregivers that matched my fathers personality as well as changes in schedule. Father looked forward to the visits. They also provided extra support for my mother who enjoyed their visits and assistance. I cannot say enough about their care and flexibility. The staff they have are great and compassionate. The PSW's also seemed to bond with dad which made everything work perfectly.

I broke my ankle badly about 7 weeks ago, and returned home from a hospice facility about two weeks ago. As my wife works 4-5 days a week in Toronto I certainly did need help at home to function safely by myself. The scheduling staff and ladies sent to my home on a daily basis have been wonderful. They are very professional, personable and always reliable. If I don't think of things for them to do, they find things that need doing! I certainly recommend Happy at Home for anyone in similar circumstances to mine. From top to bottom this is an excellent company. It's wonderful to know we have this service in Orillia to rely on...

We will be forever grateful for the extraordinary support provided by Happy at Home to our aging parents over these many years. Starting off with part time coverage, Happy at Home's loving PSWs gave Mom the assistance she required, Dad, a reprieve from his full time Caregiving duties and my sister and I, who live outside of Canada, tremendous peace of mind. When Dad fell ill with pneumonia and was sent home on 24hour oxygen our needs escalated instantly to round the clock care, and Sheona, Patti and their army of devoted caregivers shot into action. Not only were Mom and Dad provided the additional care they needed, but our entire family was aided through an exceptionally fraught time as we struggled with next steps for long term home care. Last year when our 94 mother was diagnosed with lymphoma, we arranged for 24 care for her with Happy at Home. Our need for their assistance arose very suddenly and from the time of my first call to the offices of Happy at Home it was only a few hours until a caregiver was at the door ready to provide our mom with care. Sheona Kloustra was a wonderful source of support and information to our family and provided kind, expert care to our mother. The caregivers who looked after mom were wonderful and made her feel safe and as comfortable as possible. The schedule was organized to include the caregivers that mom had made the strongest connection with. Our family found all of the staff at Happy at Home to be kind and helpful during the weeks of mom's illness until she passed away. We will always be grateful for the support provided by Happy at Home during those difficult weeks and I would highly recommend them.

I would just like to state how impressed and comforted my family was during Happy at Home's involvement with my father at the Leacock Centre over his final years. The companion that was assigned to our father, Wendy, was instrumental in his happiness and quality of life. My father always very much looked forward to seeing Wendy and she was exceptionally good for his spirit and would visit with him and take him out for drives and walks weekly when the weather allowed. Wendy went above and beyond in our opinion and for that we will always be grateful to her and Happy at Home for their kind and wonderful service to our father. She was even there for him on his last day in this world! I highly recommend Happy at Home if you are looking for personal assistance with your loved one.

We had Happy at Home Services following John's surgery and slow recovery. This assistance was quite possibly a life saver for John who had their 24 hour care for some time following hospital discharge, slowly tapering off to lesser hours. Because John is a caregiver for his wife, Gerry, the following year he 'burned out' after over 10 years of caregiving and was accompanied to the ER by Sheona and 2 days later released in her care. The PSW's provided were exceptionally good and were essential to a favourable recovery. Sheona has become a valued family friend ! During John's 'burnout recovery' he realized changes would inevitably lead to moving into a retirement home and one of the Happy at Home PSW's was invaluable in 'de-cluttering' the house, which was an enormous help in the following year when John moved into a retirement home and Gerry into long term care. Without Happy at Home I don't know how we could have managed. This is a professional service, staffed by caring and efficient personnel and receives our highest recommendation. They are well organized and most reliable..........

I cannot say enough good things about Sheona and her team. I have been dealing with them for over 10 years. Sheona helped me negotiate through the complicated medical system when my husband was dying at home over a period of more than a year. I found that the government provided nurses were unpredictable and unreliable so I turned to Happy at Home. Because of them I was able to keep my husband at home until he died despite his complicated needs. They provided respite care for me and were very meticulous in the physical supports they provided to my bedridden husband. At the same time my mentally handicapped brother who lived in a retirement home needed companionship and taking out on outings. Shoena provided the most caring and sensitive companion for my brother - they had great fun together. When my brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer Sheona helped me negotiate through the system again and provided supplementary care in terms of my brother's grooming, companionship and getting his needs met while he was dying - because of her help we were able to keep him in the retirement home far longer than normal before putting him in hospital. My brother trusted Sheona and her team who provided supplementary nursing care and back up when the system provided support failed or was too slow. This was 6 years ago. I recently had to undergo cancer surgery and a friend who has relied on Happy at Home for her own family's needs bought me a gift certificate so that I could rely on Happy at Home to provide me with at home care after my surgery. I was able to call on Sheona to assist when I had an adverse reaction to my medication and for nursing care in dressing wounds etc. Sheona is well known and respected in the medical community here in Orillia- my doctor was thoroughly pleased that I brought her on board in each instance. Shoena's team is brilliant. Patti runs the admin side efficiently and compassionately. They return calls, are kind and attentive and very sensitive. Hi, To all the fabulous, wonderful, caring team at Happy at home . My mother Anne was cared looked after by the team for a few years. the care was excellent our family was grateful to Sheona and her team for all they did ,the care was excellent in every way possible, mum was always happy ,her needs and medical care fantastic. the team taking her to dr.appt's etc was always done on timed because I live an hr. away I knew she was in the best of care.I only hope for myself one day to get such excellent quality of care as this whole team provided each and every day!!!.The office staff were amazing did keep me updated on a regular schedule special thanks to Patty and the others in management as well.I truly recommend Happy At Home services to anyone who needs help with their loved one,I know my mom had the best care possible, many thanks to all the HappyAt home caregivers, who spend the time caring for Anne.

I was more than pleased with Happy At Home. Their staff was amazing. Erin their nurse looked after my recovery in a professional manner. What a pleasant and uplifting person she is. I looked forward to her visits each morning and evening. Management met and complied with my requests. They acted swiftly with their home care for me. I would recommend Happy At Home.
