Lash Lifts are very similar to the old-school perms from the '80s. Lash lifts set the shape of your natural lashes using a perming solution. A lift is essentially what your lash would be doing with a really good lash curler, creating a nice  upward shape and a beautiful curl.

Everlasting Beauty does recommend – if you want a more dramatic result, then adding a growth serum to your daily regimen will help grow your lashes as long as possible.  We recommend EyEnvy growth serum and can be purchased in our studio.

Everlasting Beauty will start by consulting with you and will ask you questions about your lash goals and style (whether or not you wear mascara everyday, like lashes to have a high upwards curl or more soft and natural). 

After cleansing the lashes and separating your bottom lashes from your top, a silicone shield is placed on your eyelid.   A sugar based adhesive is applied on top of the shield as well, the lashes are combed up to take their shape. Then the eye-safe perming solution is applied.

The perm solution acts as a softener – it breakdowns the proteins and softens the bond of your hair so that it's moldable to create the perfect curl shape.  The perming lotion is left on for 6 to 12 minutes. Dependent on your hair type.

If you have a hard time curling the hair on your head, let Everlasting Beauty know.  think of it this way - It makes sense—the hair your head is naturally straight, thick, and has a hard time holding a curl without a ton of product  – so to will your lashes. For some individuals it may take two lifting treatments. 

The setting solution restructures the bond and locks in the shape of the curl. The setting solution is followed by a nourishing lotion, which contains keratin to add moisture back in the lashes. 
The whole process takes about an hour and 15 minutes from start to finish.

You can also opt for a lash tint.

Lash Tints are a wonderful option for individuals that are going on vacation, have active lifestyles.  Adding a tint can add extra depth and darkness to your lashes.  Just keep in mind the tint lasts about three weeks.  

A short 20 minute lash tint touch up appointments can be scheduled to deepen the colour of your lashes.
 

On top of not wearing mascara, you should avoid wetting them, steam, and all forms of moisture and humidity, and wearing eye makeup to make the curl last.

While lash extensions require you to be extra careful doing anything—washing your face, sleeping a certain way, applying makeup—with lash lifts, you wake up, add mascara or not, and you are good to go.
