About Us

In 2007 foodie Melanie Robinson and her husband, Mike honeymooned in BC’s beautiful Okanagan Valley enjoying the stunning scenery and a vibrant local food scene.
While experiencing a wealth of culinary delights Melanie realized her true passion and pursuit in life; cooking. The Okanagan’s culinary mantra of fresh, local, and sustainable struck a cord with Melanie an in 2010 she enrolled in the culinary program at Georgian College.
Melanie excelled in her studies and honed her culinary skills in a range of culinary competitions.
In 2012 Melanie was one of four junior chefs awarded by Canadian Culinary Foundation the opportunity to stage at prestigious restaurants and wineries in the Okanagan Valley. This opportunity allowed Melanie the chance to experience an array of culinary techniques from experienced chefs who shared her passion and philosophies for cooking.
After graduating from culinary school Melanie had the opportunity to work in some of the Muskoka areas best fine dining restaurants.
In 2015 Melanie applied and won a spot on the highly recognized television series Chopped Canada (Season 3, episode 9 “Dueling over Deviled Eggs” if you're interested). After 16 hours and 3 rounds of high-stress culinary competition, Melanie became a Chopped Champion!
