Be Herd Communications is closed for Thanksgiving Enjoy your time with family and friends After the holiday rehearsals begin for Sadie Flynn comes to Big Oak...I can hardly wait! Green Again...for new beginnings is a thrift store with purpose. Sales from the shop, sporting gently used adult and children's clothing and accessories as well as a wide range of household items aid in directly supporting programs offered by Green Haven Shelter for Women. The local shelter celebrates 25 years this year serving women and their families while also acting as an advocate in promoting social change to eliminate violence against women through public education. The shelter's administration and board members work closely with other organizations forming partnerships to help finance this work. Local theatre company, Double R Productions is one such partner sharing a portion of ticket sales to their opening night performance of Sadie Flynn Comes to Big Oak which runs at St. Paul's Centre October 27 - 30. There will also be donation door prizes, supplied by many local businesses at the event as well as a reception with Brewery Bay grub and White Lions Tea House treats after the Thursday night show. Green Again manager Lisa Schop, pictured here, has specially priced $25 tickets on sale for the Thursday, October 27 at 8pm opener at the downtown Orillia store located in Heritage Mall. It is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 4:00 p.m. or call 705-325-0686. There are even Halloween costumes available now! Double R Productions' Sadie Flynn Comes to Big Oak is a comedy by Norm Foster and will be the first play to be performed in the newly renovated St. Paul's Centre located at Peter and Coldwater Streets in Downtown Orillia.
