November 14, 2018 – OBWA Networking Meeting

We are honoured to have a speaker from the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Trudy Rudolph joined the Heart & Stroke Foundation in 2017, and is the Manager, Community Fundraising of the Barrie office. She has been working with not-for-profit organizations for almost 20 years, including six with the Starlight Children’s Foundation as the Associate Director of Children’s Services. In addition to her passion for making a difference in the community, Trudy is an avid photographer, and for the past eight years has made an annual spring trek to the US midwest to photograph tornadoes and supercell thunderstorms.
Trudy will be presenting information based on the Heart & Stroke Foundation 2018 Heart Report, Ms. Understood, which identifies that women are under-researched, under-diagnosed and over-dying. Heart disease and stroke are the #1 cause of premature death among Canadian women. Find out what the Heart & Stroke Foundation is doing to close this gap, and what you can do to protect your own health, including knowing the signs of a stroke or heart attack and how these may be different for women, as well as knowing what your own risk factors are.
3 COURSE DINNER: $30 for members and first first-timers, $37 for non-members
